OUR GANG

Who can forget Our Gang, that rag-tag gang of kids who always found an ingen-lous way to get into trouble? When their first short was released in 1922 the name Our Gang stuck, and Hal Roach went on to produce 221 films, bringing us characters like Spanky, Buckwheat and Alfalfa, and Pete-the-Pup. School's Out includes Miss Crabtree, and Our Gang Follies has some of the Gang's better musical numbers.

THE LITTLE PRINCESS

Shirley Temple stars as a young girl sent to boarding school when her doting father is sent to war. Her father becomes missing in action and is rumored to be dead. Authorities at the school decide to let the recently orphaned Shirley stay at the school, but she is forced to work as a servant under the evil headmistress. Convinced that her father is still alive, Shirley sneaks out to the local hospitals in the hopes of finding him— and proving the evil headmistress wrong. A heartwarming tale that the whole family will enjoy.

THE PIED PIPER OF HAMELIN

Van Johnson plays a dual role as village hero Truson and the mysterious magical Pied Piper. After hiring the piper to rid the town of rodents, the deceitful mayor (Claude Rains) of the Bavarian village of Hamelin reneges on his promise to pay a handsome fee. In retaliation the piper entices all the children in the village into his magical mountain home.
