“Baader Meinhof Complex” tells the story of the Red Army Faction, a German terrorist group that formed in the late '60s and dominated European newspaper headlines into the 70s. This was a radical protest group so violent, they made the Black Panthers and The Weather Underground seem like pacifists, and their tale is dramatized in this festival favourite.
Nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for best Foreign Film, it also had another two award wins, and a whopping eleven nominations. --RB |
