From the pen of stand-up comedian Margaret Cho ("I'm The One That I Want") comes this tale of two high-school buddies (Cho and fellow comedian Bruce Daniels) as they travel to New York for a spot on a makeover reality show. Encouraged by a psychic (Kathy Najimy) and by the show's booking agent (Alan Cumming), the thirty-something friends set out for the big city and stardom only to find that their evil high-school enemies are frequent guest stars on the show. Will they find the fabulousness they seek? Will Cho find romance with Cumming, or is he another gay buddy? Cho has described the film as "a fag and fag-hag 'Thelma and Louise'". --SD |
